255 Kaska Road
Sherwood Park, AB T8A 4E8
HOURS OF OPERATION:
Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, except statutory holidays
We provide food hampers for people who live in Sherwood Park and rural Strathcona County. Applicants are eligible for hampers that are designed to last 3 to 5 days. Hampers are only available once every 30 days. However, people can come in more often
for extra bread/baking.
We do not deliver food hampers so applicants must come to the food bank to obtain their hampers.
When calling by telephone please call early, between 9:00 and 10:00 am if you wish to come in that day to pick up your food hamper. You must provide the following in order for the food bank to determine if you are eligible for assistance:
- telephone number
- an indication of the monthly housing costs you have
- an indication of the household income covered by all working age individuals living at the home
- the reason you are applying for food assistance
When you call and provide the above-noted information and are accepted to receive food bank assistance, you will be given a time to pick up your food hamper. If for whatever reason you find you will not be able to come in at the appointed time, please call to let us know so we can put perishable items and frozen items away so they will not spoil and can be used for other recipients.
If you do not call to let us know that you are not able to come in at your appointed time you will not be eligible for assistance for up to 3 months.
